CNC Precision Roller Levelers are employed in Cut-to-Length & Blanking Lines to convert coils into flat sheets and blanks. Precision Roller Levelers have the ability to eliminate coil-set, cross-bow, center-buckle, and wavy edge strip defects by working the strip up and down through a series of small diameter work rolls. The work rolls are supported across the roll face by a series of back-up support rolls installed on parallel bars called “flights” that are independently vertically adjustable. All Braner/Loopco Precision Leveler back-up flights are vertically positioned by “zero-backlash” hydraulic cylinders equipped with precision electronic linear transducers that accurately read vertical positions of each flight. Sophisticated CNC electronics precisely and automatically control vertical roll positions. Leveler set-up and calibration are accomplished automatically via CNC controls. An on board memory recalls previous set-up parameters to save time.
Braner/Loopco Precision Levelers are commonly built with exchangeable “Cassettes” that significantly expand the range of gauges and materials that can be leveled with one Leveler.
