Rubber Stripper Rings are an important part of Slitter tooling and plays a critical role in the slitting process. Like any other precision metal cutting machine tool, a Slitter requires proper tooling in order to do its job. And all tooling requires periodic maintenance. Knives have to be sharpened, spacers have to be cleaned and stoned flat, and rubber stripper rings have to be OD ground to maintain its diameter relationship with sharpened Slitter knives. Ignoring tooling maintenance will always result in reduced quality slit coil products.
Braner/Loopco’s CNC Rubber Stripper Ring Grinder is purpose-built to make rubber stripper ring maintenance easier, less expensive, and much more convenient than sending to an outside grinding shop and waiting for its return. The Grinder is easy to use, it grinds strippers to precise diameter tolerances, and the automatic CNC control makes the stripper ring grinding operation operatorless.
