Braner/Loopco designs and builds strip and flat wire CNC controlled Traverse Winders in a wide range of capacities and speeds. Traverse wound coils can be produced with or without cardboard cores and/or spools depending upon customer requirements. Traverse wound coils commonly range from 4,000# to 10,000# coil weight with overall coil widths to 12”. Traverse wound flat wire coils are typically to 3,000# wound onto re-useable flanged spools. Traverse Winders are powered by an AC vector adjustable speed motor at rewind speeds to 2,000 FPM. Ultra-precise tension control ensures solid traverse wound coils. Traverse travel, rate, and turn-around is synchronized with winding speed. Programming is quick and intuitive via keypad width, gap, overall coil width, and turnaround point input. Set-up parameters for repeat jobs can be recalled from the CNC memory for full automatic programming.
